Macugnaga and the Monte Rosa: the wonder of the mountain at 4000mt

Macugnaga, a little alpine village of Walser origin, has been made famous thanks to the magnificent Monte Rosa.

The East wall of the Monte Rosa attracted many mountaineers from many different countries due to its unique and varying ascents. The East wall of the Monte Rosa has similarities with the Himalayas and together with Mischabel it forms the highest concentrated area in the Alps above 4000 metres.

With our Guides it is possible to reach the important peaks such as Punta Gnifetti (Capanna Margherita), Punta Zumstein, Punta Dufour, Punta Nordend, Punta Grober, Pizzo Bianco and Cima Jazzi, from where you can enjoy the views of the Matterhorn.
